Having worked at gyms and having been trained in proper lifting techniques I find it excruciatingly painful to watch people throw weights around on machines. Form is crucial when building strength and for safety – it doesn’t matter how much you lift you fall and break your back fools!

    • I have this obsession with lifting heavier and decided to focus on form and function today and I’m feeling it a lot more than on my power trip days. hah.

      • Form is always important, but dropping the weight a bit and really nailing the form can push us past strength plateaus. It’s often those stabilizer muscles that are holding back adding weight to the bar. Well, unless that bar is part of a smith machine.
